Pieter has been helping people get onto (and up) the property ladder for nearly a decade. Originally from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, he joined Constantia through the practice support team before qualifying as a mortgage and protection adviser in 2018. He’s proudly built a client base that ‘have moved with him’ and one which has grown almost entirely through word-of-mouth and personal referrals.
Although Pieter advises clients with all types of mortgage needs, he really enjoys, and is focused on, first-time buyers and young professionals - particularly those who've convinced themselves a mortgage might be out of reach. Whether you're recently self-employed, have a non-standard income, or aren't quite sure where to start, Pieter's strength is in finding routes that others might miss. He's worked extensively with contractors, company directors and those with other complex income, and knows exactly how lenders assess income beyond the bog-standard three-year rule.
Based in Epsom, Pieter's style of advising is personal and relaxed. He would rather meet you for a coffee at David Lloyd’s than sit across a formal desk. He also promises never to wear a tie!
He is there for his clients and adds value to the process, offering a steer on properties you've spotted and suggesting questions worth asking at viewings. It's a more hands-on approach than most, and it's why so many of his clients send their friends and family his way.
Outside of work, Pieter is a keen runner, with a few half marathons under his belt, and a regular at the gym. He has a young family of his own, which means he genuinely understands the priorities and pressures his clients are navigating.
